Sidney C. Segall

Sidney C. Segall, 82 passed from this world on Sunday, April 7, 2019 peacefully at his home in Missouri City, Texas after a long-fought battle with illness since 2012. Sid leaves his companion of 30 years, Sharlene Binder Jacobson of Missouri City. His children, son's Seth Segall and Corey Segall both of Austin, Texas. His Daughter Stacey Segall Hoffman of Gallon, Ohio. In addition, he leaves his sisters Cissy Segall Davis and Candace Segall Thompson both of Houston, Texas. He also leaves behind many other family members and close friends. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Sid was the only son of Alex and Freida Segall. Sid moved to Houston, Texas where he lived most of his adult life. In his recent years, he has resided in Missouri City, Texas. Upon graduating from James Madison High School in New York, in 1954, Sid proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 8 years. After 4 years in active duty and 4 years in the reserves he was given an Honorable Discharge. During his adult years after the Air Force, Sid held many positions in the sales industry. He also taught dancing in his early years, which was a recreational love he enjoyed so much. Sid enjoyed computers and consulting. Most recently he was a consultant in sales with Zija International. He had many more interests that included playing cards and playing dominoes with his friends at the Plantation apartments. He also enjoyed movies and spending quality time with his loved ones. He enjoyed good meals, having conversations and most of all loved telling jokes. His favorite restaurant was Kenny and Ziggy's. Sid was a kind and good-hearted man. He loved helping others. He took pride in engaging in his community and celebrating others. He loved to tell stories of his life experiences, struggles and successes. Especially on social media where he connected with his friends. Sid will be greatly missed, his laughter, his personal wisdom and his personality that held a story and a smile.
