Paul Ingraham

Paul Albert Ingraham, 78, of Sugar Land, Texas passed away on August 10, 2016. Paul was born in The Bronx, New York on July 16, 1938. He is survived by his children Lisa Weiss, her husband Jay Weiss and Barbara Ramsey, her husband Gary Ramsey and his grandchildren Alexandria and Joann. Paul married his high school sweetheart, Janet Ingraham on September 13, 1959. He loved to tell stories of their first apartment in Greenwich Village, New York. Such as, The "butcher block table" he bought on the streets of the amazing city he loved so much and how he "got it for a steal" which he brought to every home the two lived in. You can now find that table with his granddaughter Ali, whom will carry on the tradition of Friday night Shabbat dinners. Dinner time was always a vital time in the Ingraham household. There was always room at Paul's table for one more. He believed everyone should be able to sit at his table and enjoy a great meal. If you could bare to hear one more of his stories about New York and the good old days, you probably would be allowed to share dessert. There was Always dessert. Paul worked as a Master Auto-Mechanic from sun rise and sometimes into the late hours of the night, but he always came home for dinner. On Saturday nights you could find him and Janet enjoying a night out on the town. They loved going to The Alley, Miller Outdoor Theater, T.U.T.S., and his favorite was watching Ralph Katz in the productions of Gilbert and Sullivan. Since the passing of his beloved Janet in 2013, Paul has been faithfully waiting to be reunited. He often talked about their 54 years as husband and wife. He spent his days with his most faithful companion, his tea cup poodle, Princess. His grandchildren, Ali and Joann were his pride and joy. He was always interested in what they were doing, but his favorite line was, "what's for supper?". He would brag on what a great cook his sweet Alicat became and looked forward to meals with his son-in law Gary. Paul Ingraham put his values on family above all else. He will be missed greatly. There will be a short graveside service at Emanuel Memorial Park, 8341 Bissonnet Street in Houston, TX 77074 on August 19, 201 at 9am. Afterwards, we will go to Kenny & Ziggy's New York Deli on 2327 Post Oak Blvd, Houston, TX 77056 and have one more meal in his honor.
