Lynne Davis

After a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s, Lynne Sheridan Davis passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the age of 78. We will forever be in awe of how she fought this unfair disease. Born on August 30, 1947 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Morris Sheridan and Harriette Hirsch, and loved by Freda Sheridan. Her unwavering strength, courage, friendship, and love served as a daily reminder of how we all should live our lives. The world has lost a precious soul who always put others first. She graduated from UT Austin and continued her advanced studies graduating from UT Medical Branch in Galveston. She enjoyed a long career as a physical therapist where she helped people regain their own strength and independence. She was an avid reader, an incredible cook, and a creative soul. She loved creating and gifting handmade quilts, personalized baby activity books, embroidery, handmade clothes, and birthday cakes to her family and friends. She is survived by her two children, Florence and son in law Paul Muller and Joel Davis; her true loves, her grandchildren, Miriam, Madeline, Lucas, and Kamille; her sister, Sandybeck Lease, and nieces and nephews, Richard Lease and wife Charlotte (son Nathan), Eric Lease and wife Alex, Lewis Lease and wife, Brittany, (sons Alden, Ben, and Milo), Michael Hoffman, and DennyBeth Hoffman. She is preceded in death by brother, Ronald Hoffman and brother in law, Alan Lease. She is also survived by her chosen family, Michele Marvins and Bonnie Herst. A special thank you to her wonderful caregivers, Kesha Ellison, CC Shepherd, Sherina Ellison, and Shirley Brown. We are grateful and indebted to them for caring for her over the years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Jewish Family Services of Houston (www.alexanderjfs.org) or Houston Area Parkinson Society (www.haps.org) A graveside service was held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Emanu El Memorial Park, 8341 Bissonnet St., Houston, Texas, 77074.
