Jean Deborah Robin

Jean Deborah Robin passed away suddenly and peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022 in Houston, Texas. She was born on July 12, 1951 in Waco, Texas to the late Miriam and Emanuel Wizig. Jean graduated from Richfield High School in Waco in 1969. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. Jean married Alan Robin in 1973 and moved to Houston in 1975, where she taught elementary school for several years. Jean was a life member of Hadassah and supported many Jewish charities in the Houston area. She had a strong interest in politics and was always well prepared to debate the issues of the day. Family was so important to Jean. She offered unconditional love and never-ending support for her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces and their extended families. She loved baking and creating beautiful and delicious desserts for them. The sweetness of her personality was reflected in her pastries and cookies. Jean was a friend to everyone she met and knew no enemies. She had a passion for bringing people together, and she connected with all of her friends regularly. Jean was admired for her wisdom and loyalty in these many relationships. She was very generous and caring, always putting others' interests before her own. Jean was preceded at death by her beloved parents, Miriam and Emanuel Wizig. She is survived by her devoted husband, Alan Robin, her son Jeffrey Robin and wife Elisa, and grandchildren Lyla and Garrett, and her son, Ross Robin and wife Crystal, her twin sister, Joan Lebow and husband David, and her sister Carol Weiser and husband Gil. Jean touched many lives with a positive influence and will be missed and remembered by all. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Proler Chapel at Congregation Beth Israel Memorial Garden, 1101 Antoine Drive Houston, TX 77055 with a graveside service immediately following.
