Scott Sherbel

Scott Sherbel passed away in Houston, Texas at the age of 69 on Friday, May 3, 2024. He was the second born child of Cecily and Murray Sherbel and lived most of his life in Houston. He had a head for business and worked at his father’s car dealership before taking over his father-in-law’s pest control company, Firestone Termite & Pest Control, for over 30 years. He met and married the love of his life, Sherri, when they were teens and were married for over 40 years. Together they had two sons, Matthew and Jared. Scott was always known for his love of the Beatles and an eclectic taste in movies and TV shows from Perry Mason to Pitch Perfect. Scott loved hitting up the slots and blackjack tables in Las Vegas. When he wasn’t traveling, Scott enjoyed catching a game of his favorite baseball team, the Astros. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecily and Murray Sherbel. Scott was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Sherri, his sister, Stephanie Jasuta, his sons and their spouses, Matthew Sherbel and Arielle Epstein, and Jared Sherbel and Aaron Rathbun, his granddaughter, Riley, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
