Andrea Gotlieb

Andrea Shapiro Gotlieb passed away peacefully to the next chapter of her life on October 2, 2017 to be with her loved ones who have already crossed over. She leaves behind her husband Frank Gotlieb, daughter Deborah Lynne Pesses and "almost" son-in-law David Cotner of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, daughter Elizabeth Michele Nowak and her husband Kevin Nowak of Gilbert, Arizona, granddaughter Danielle Leigh Krupa and her husband Stephen Krupa of New York, New York, grandson Dustin Hunter Nowak of Gilbert, Arizona, great granddaughters Audrey and Emerson Krupa and great grandson Brody Nowak. And Her Nieces Terri Green and Susan Jansen and her nieces and nephews by marriage. Andrea was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin Shapiro and Lily Monitz Shapiro, brother Isadore Shapiro and Grandson Cody Nowak. Andrea was born in Houston, Texas on August 16, 1939 , she went to San Jacinto high school where she had so many wonderful memories. She lived in several other states and came back to Houston to take care of her mom in 2001 until her mother passed away in August of 2003. She later met and married Frank Gotlieb of Houston Texas . She and Frank so enjoyed the cruises they went on, singing, dancing and especially loved going to the casinos. She expressed after a episode in the hospital that she wasn't ready to leave yet she had a bucket list, and on that list was to see her great grandchildren and go to Italy so she got to see her granddaughter Danielle and a print of Italy. One day hopefully some of her ashes will make it to Italy where she always wanted to go.The week before mom left us in this realm she had an awesome day with her husband Frank, daughters Deborah and Elizabeth, granddaughter Danielle, grandson Dustin by Facetime, son-in law Kevin, and her biggest cheerleader David at her bedside. Andrea's incredible smile and witty since of humor were amazing and will missed by all who knew her. Our mom, wife, grandmother, aunt and cousin will be forever etched in our minds and hearts until we meet up again. We would like thank the Doctors, nurses, staff and security officers at Methodist and Kindred hospitals, who went out of their way on numerous occasions just to check on and visit with our mom. They were wonderful and we greatly appreciate all the love, care and personal affection they bestowed upon her. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Juvenal Diabetes foundation.
